Danny Thomas's love for Jazz goes back to Jimmy Smith, Miles Davis, George Duke, and many other great artists. In the early 80's, Herbie Hancock acknowledged Funk music in an interview stating that simplicity in funk music was very challenging. Herbie Hancock was a true innovator in the fusion of funk and Jazz music, along with Ramsey Lewis, Chic Corea, Stevie Wonder, just to name a few. Last but not least Skip Scarborough, producer of 5 Gold Albums with the group Con Funk Shun, who was most inspiring to work with. EXTRA EDITION, and DAT Music Production is the creation of Danny Thomas who is proud to play a part in bringing to you one of the most relevant songs of the decade; "Stop The Violence", featuring the vocal group Passions and a cameo appearance by Schizo (Rap Artist).

Danny Thomas, President of Moonstruck Records, an independent label based in the Bay Area, California, subsidiary non-profit "Stop The Violence" organization. Purpose: to support the Youth of America and the World. Here in the Bay Area, we work with 'Mother Wright' who helps feed the poor. O'Town Community Services, Out Reach Programs for the youth and elderly, Bojack Blackfeather for the work he does in the community, and Leslie Lewis of ABOVE THE WAIST PRODUCTIONS, as well as our focus to Stop Youth Violence. Our Plans are to implement Out Reach Music Programs: i.e.; piano and vocal lessons, band, choir, and dance groups. We also support organizations that are already involved with community programs such as K.E.Y.S. headed up by Mr. Audrey "Promise" Simpson.We feel that programs like these are very important to bridge the gap that the educational system can no longer provide due to government cut-backs.
